Course Objective
The primary objective of a fellowship in Preventive Cardiology is to provide advanced training in the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease. Fellows will gain experience in primary and secondary prevention, risk factor modification, lifestyle modification, and cardiac rehabilitation. Fellows will also gain experience in the management of acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, such as coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and arrhythmias. Fellows will learn about the most current guidelines and standards of care for preventive cardiology, as well as advanced imaging modalities and other diagnostic procedures. They will also gain experience in teaching medical students and residents, and developing skills in clinical leadership, communication, and teamwork.
