Course Objective

The primary objective of a fellowship in Clinical Nutrition is to provide advanced training in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of nutrition-related conditions. Fellows will gain experience in nutrition counseling and education, weight management, medical nutrition therapy, and enteral and parenteral nutrition. Fellows will also gain experience in the application of the most current guidelines and standards of care for nutrition-related conditions. Fellows will learn about advanced nutrition assessment tools, nutrition-focused physical examination, and medical nutrition therapy. They will also gain experience in teaching medical students and residents, and developing skills in clinical leadership, communication, and teamwork.

Course Description

  1. Advanced training in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of nutrition-related conditions.
  2. Experience in nutrition counseling and education, weight management, medical nutrition therapy, and enteral and parenteral nutrition. 
  3. Knowledge of the most current guidelines and standards of care for nutrition-related conditions. 
  4. Exposure to advanced nutrition assessment tools, nutrition-focused physical examination, and medical nutrition therapy.
