Course Objective

The course objective for Fellowship in Clinical Embryology is to equip trainees with the scientific, clinical, laboratory and technical knowledge and skills necessary to perform and supervise clinical embryology procedures. This program provides advanced training in reproductive and developmental biology, laboratory management and current clinical technologies related to assisted reproductive technologies. Trainees will gain an understanding of the clinical and laboratory management of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and other assisted reproductive technologies (ART), including cryopreservation, preimplantation genetic diagnosis and screening (PGD/PGS). The program also provides knowledge and training in the ethical and legal aspects of clinical embryology and assisted reproductive technologies.`

Course Description

  1. Gain advanced knowledge and training in reproductive and developmental biology, laboratory management, and current clinical technologies related to assisted reproductive technologies.
  2. Learn how to perform and supervise clinical embryology procedures. 
  3. Understand the clinical and laboratory management of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and other assisted reproductive technologies (ART).
  4. Become familiar with cryopreservation, preimplantation genetic diagnosis and screening (PGD/PGS). 
  5. Acquire knowledge and training in the ethical and legal aspects of clinical embryology and assisted reproductive technologies. 
  6. Develop skills in laboratory management and troubleshooting. 
  7. Understand the principles of quality assurance and regulations in clinical embryology.
